RETAIL ARCHITECT

Lewis Retail Centers, a division of the Lewis Group of Companies, one of the nation’s largest privately-held real estate developers, is actively seeking an experienced RETAIL ARCHITECT to join its expanding retail development group.

Lewis Retail Centers oversees the development and construction of one of the Inland Empire's largest shopping center portfolios. The division has developed almost 4 million square feet of retail space that is home to some of the nation’s top retailers.

This position will be assisting with the design and construction coordination of ground-up retail shopping centers. Qualified candidates will have experience in the following:

Active participation in all phases of architectural design for retail/shopping centers
Architectural design experience working on mid to large-scale, multi-tenant projects.
Designing and coordinating experience working with in-house project managers, project teams as well as outside consultants.
Solid experience with local jurisdictional requirements, compliance issues, etc.
Reviewing construction drawings and managing project timelines to maintain development standards

Required background:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture (4- or 5-year program)
3+ years of Architectural/Retail design experience; retail stores and/or retail centers
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD is required
Project management experience is highly preferred
